Eric Woodring, a Texas-based traditional country musician and songwriter, embodies true Texas spirit. Known for his authentic Texas music and a powerful voice that leaves a lasting impression, Woodring started his professional music journey in 1996 while attending Texas Tech University in Lubbock. Immersed in the local music scene, he formed the Texas Speedbump Band in the late '90s, which became a regional favorite in West Texas and the Texas Panhandle.

After graduating, Woodring moved to New Braunfels, dedicating himself to songwriting and performing with former bandmate Tommy Sheen. His journey continued in Austin, where he recorded his debut album "Lifemiles" in 2004 with producer Ron Flynt. The album's success led to a regional tour and radio play.

In 2006, Woodring relocated to Houston and reunited with his former bandmate Kyle Wright. They revived their musical collaboration, eventually forming The Recollection with guitarist Gerald Thurmond. This Texas string band, known for its high-energy performances and Texas-themed songs, released their first EP, "This Is Texgrass!" in 2017, followed by "True Texas True" in 2019, produced by Houston music icon Jack Saunders.

Jack Saunders recognized Woodring's songwriting talent and powerful voice, helping him develop his solo career. In 2019, Woodring released "Jackson County Line," his first full-length album since 2004, earning regional and international acclaim. Over the years, he released two more albums, two EPs, and multiple singles, all charting on regional country radio.

In 2024, Woodring celebrates the 20th anniversary of "Lifemiles" with a special EP and plans to release his fifth full-length studio album later in the year.
